IG Knowledge mobilization

Knowledge mobilization (KM) encompasses a wide array of activities, such as integrated knowledge translation, knowledge creation, dissemination, and implementation, related to both the production and use of research results. It focuses on turning research knowledge into practice and policy by making information readily accessible.

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research Institute of Genetics (CIHR-IG) is dedicated to supporting KM in the fields of genetics, genomics, molecular biosciences, computational biology, and health data science. To further support KM, IG offers funding for planning and dissemination activities aligned with CIHR's mandate, supported through Planning and Dissemination Grants, available twice a year. Visit the IG funding page for more details on funding opportunities.

This page highlights CIHR-IG-funded research and initiatives relevant to IG, aiming to accelerate genetics and genomics research, make information widely available, and communicate the impacts of our research investments to the research community, patients/caregivers, partners, decision-makers, health care professionals, and the general public.
