e-Health Innovations: empowering patients, enabling better health care

e-Health: power in your hands, solutions at your fingertips.

Technology and health care are at a crossroads where tools are enabling patients, professionals and populations to become integrated partners in health care management.

The e-Health Innovation projects were funded through a research initiative led by the Institute of Health Services and Policy Research (IHSPR). The initiative was designed to:

• stimulate e-Health innovations by integrating, augmenting and evaluating novel health information technologies to empower patients as partners in their care
• create a new generation of decision tools for health professionals to enable individualized care
• monitor population health

The goal is to improve the efficiency of patient and population-centered care and enhance Canada's competitive position in the e-Health sector.
