ICRH Strategic Plan 2013-2016 Web Consultation

The Institute of Circulatory & Respiratory Health (ICRH) is finalizing its 2013-2016 Strategic Plan.

The ICRH strategic plan will guide the Institute in the upcoming years, enabling better alignment and harmonization with its research communities, partners, and stakeholders on common pressing issues such as networking, research training and capacity building, and cohort harmonization/enhancement. This Strategic Plan is focused on ensuring that research excellence, competitiveness, innovation and impact are enhanced across all research fields affiliated with the Institute, including: cardiovascular health, respiratory health, blood, stroke, critical/intensive care, and sleep.

To ensure the Institute’s future direction is coherent with the gaps, needs, and opportunities of the various ICRH research communities, the 2013-2016 strategic plan was conceived on the basis of targeted data mining on key issues and an extensive two-year consultation with members of our Institute Advisory Board, various research communities, and representatives of numerous key stakeholders and partners. In addition, the new strategic plan takes into consideration the feedback the Institute received from the International External Review Panel (2011) and it closely aligns with the 2010-2014 CIHR Strategic Plan - Health Research Roadmap: Creating innovative research for better health and health care.
