Canadian Public Health Conference 2013

The CIHR Institute of Population and Public Health (CIHR-IPPH) is proud to support the Canadian Public Health Association (CPHA) Conference again this year.

The CPHA Conference is the largest gathering of public health professionals in Canada bringing together approximately 1000 delegates from across the country and abroad. This year’s event, Moving Public Health Forward: Evidence, Policy and Practice, will be held in Ottawa from June 9-12, 2013. Dr. John Hastings Student Award

The Dr. John Hastings CPHA Student Award is named in honour and memory of Dr. John Hastings and his commitment to and belief in students as the future of public health in our country. This award is given at the time of the CPHA Annual Conference for the best abstract/poster as determined by the CPHA Honorary Awards and Recognition Committee based on the recommendation of the Scientific Review Committee.

Population and Public Health Student Awards

The purpose of this award program is to recognize excellence in the next generation of population and public health researchers, policy-makers and practitioners. Up to four awards (two at the Masters level and two at the PhD level) will be presented to successful student applicants.
