Alzheimer’s strategy international component
Through the deployment of the international component, the International Collaborative Research Strategy for Alzheimer's Disease has facilitated the participation of Canadian researchers in key international partnerships. These activities have to date leveraged the initial CIHR investment of $13.07 Million to over $31.74 Million through international partnerships. The specific activities related to the international component include:
- France-Quebec-Canada Research Program on Alzheimer's Disease
- UK Neurodegenerative Initiative
- Centres of Excellence in Neurodegeneration Research (COEN) with 5 European countries, in which seven of the eight funded Centres include Canadian researchers
- Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI-2) with partners in the USA
- The Canada-China Joint Program with the National Science Foundation of China
