The Early Career Researcher Award in Cancer

The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) is proud to support early career researchers through this program and congratulates the most recent recipients.

The Program

The Early Career Researcher Award in Cancer was established to recognize research excellence at the early career researcher level. This award, in the amount of $25,000, is given annually to early career researchers with the highest ranking (by percent (%) rank) in the Fall Project Grant competition that are related to the ICR mandate. This award is non-renewable and aims at supporting research in accordance with CIHR Funding Policies.

Evaluation

  • The award will be given to the top ranked relevant and eligible early career researcher(s) within the Fall Project competition.
  • The nominated principal applicant must be an early career researcher at the time of the application deadline of the Project Grant competition.
  • In the case of ties, the prizes will be split amongst the finalists.
