Ninety years ago, Dr. Frederick Banting and Charles Best conducted a series of experiments that led to the discovery of insulin. Insulin is used to treat diabetes and until its discovery, being diagnosed with diabetes was a death sentence.

Today, millions of people with diabetes live long and productive lives thanks to insulin, but a cure for the disease is still beyond our grasp. How far are we from a cure? What can be done to improve the health of people living with diabetes? Join us to hear what the experts have to say and share your thoughts.

This free event is presented by the Institute of Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes, part of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
