International Review Panel Meeting

On March 30-31, 2011, CIHR hosted the International Review Panel (IRP) commissioned by Governing Council to assess the performance of CIHR in achieving its mandate. Over two days the Panel had an opportunity to discuss the findings of the Institute reviews from February and to meet with Canadian researchers, research funding agencies, senior government officials, and leaders from industry, academia, health charities and others.

The Panel is currently preparing their final report outlining their observations and recommendations which will be presented to CIHR Governing Council at their June 23-24 meeting. The IRP report will be posted on the CIHR website shortly thereafter, followed by a management response after the Governing Council's retreat in August.
