Get involved

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) encourages the public to play an active role in helping us to define issues, consider solutions, and identify resources or priorities for action.

There are many different ways in which you can get involved in CIHR's work:

Take part in a Café Scientifique

Interact with health experts in an informal discussion about scientific subjects.

Connect to Synapse

Participate in CIHR's youth outreach program.

Follow us on social media

Stay connected by following us on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, and more.

Become an IAB member

Join members of the public, private and non-profit sectors on one our Institute Advisory Boards (IAB). The IABs help to determine and evaluate health research priorities and strategies and implementation plans.

Apply to be a community reviewer
