The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the CIHR Knowledge Translation Award 2009 competition.

Funding Opportunity Summary

The objectives of the funding opportunity "CIHR Knowledge Translation Award 2009" were to:

• Contribute considerably to moving research findings into practice or policy (including intellectual property protection, licensing activities, spin-off company formation) by facilitating the synthesis, dissemination, exchange and ethically-sound application of knowledge at a national or international level;
• Carry out knowledge translation activities that have resulted in improvements in the health of individuals and/or health services/products and/or the health care system.

Funding Competition Summary

A total of 31 applications were received of which one was approved for funding.
