The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Catalyst Grant: Vaccines of the 21st Century competition.

Funding Opportunity Summary

The objectives of the "Catalyst Grant: Vaccines of the 21st Century" were to:

• To address scientific questions/problems related to vaccines, such as immune responses that could lead to protective immunity, increased efficacy and regulatory issues in vaccine development.
• To stimulate research in the area of vaccines so that researchers can be more competitive in future open and targeted funding opportunities.

A total of 25 applications were received of which 13 were approved for funding.
