The specific objectives of the funding opportunity "Meetings, Planning and Dissemination Grant: Cancer Research (Spring 2009 Competition)" is to partially support workshops, symposia, and congresses that are:

• related to cancer;
• relevant to the health of Canadians at risk of cancer;
• relevant to the development of cancer research capacity in Canada;
• multidisciplinary and/or multi-institutional;
• cross-cutting (involving more than one CIHR supported types of research);
• multisectorial (involving universities, NGOs, governments, the private sector, etc.—desirable but not necessary);
• multi-institute (desirable but not necessary).
