The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Master's Award: HIV/AIDS (Community-Based Research) (2009-2010).
Funding Opportunity Summary
The CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative is supported by the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada. The HIV/AIDS CBR Program, which is part of the CIHR HIV/AIDS Research Initiative, assists community-based organizations, non-governmental organizations and institutions in developing the knowledge necessary to carry out their HIV/AIDS work in the most effective manner, and in creating the expertise within these communities to conduct their own research. The "Master's Award: HIV/AIDS (Community-Based Research) (2009-2010)" competition is one of several funding tools used by the HIV/AIDS CBR Program.
The objectives of the "Master's Award: HIV/AIDS (Community-Based Research) (2009-2010)" were:
- To help ensure a reliable supply of highly qualified personnel to develop knowledge in the fight against the HIV/AIDS epidemic through community-based research; and
- To provide recognition and support to students who are pursuing a Master's degree in a community-based research field related to HIV/AIDS in Canada.
