The specific objectives of the funding opportunity "Fellowship: Official Language Minority Communities" were to:

- provide a reliable supply of highly skilled and qualified researchers.

- Health determinants - The bio-psycho-social determinants of health of official language minority populations, the access these populations have to health services and how accessibility affects their health;
- Health service governance, management and delivery - The impact of greater participation by official language minority communities in governance and decision-making bodies;
- Language, culture and health - The relationship between language, culture and health and their impact on the health of Official language minority communities (OLMC).
