The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Other: Gender, Mental Health and Addictions competition.
Funding Opportunity Summary
The objectives of the funding opportunity "Other: Gender, Mental Health and Addictions" were:
- To support research that focuses on improving the mental health of Canadian men and women, boys and girls and of the international community;
- To understand the gender influences that underpin mental health and inform the design of appropriate programs, policies and interventions at national and international levels;
- To position Centres to develop a multi-disciplinary strategic research program aligned with current and emerging priorities in gender and mental health; and
- To foster and support the translation of knowledge in order to increase the impact of research focused on gender and mental health on policy and practice.
