The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) is pleased to announce the results of the Emerging Team Grant: From Genes to Proteins, Cells, Tissues and Patients competition (Letters of Intent - LOI).

Funding Opportunity Summary

The objectives of the "Emerging Team Grant: From Genes to Proteins, Cells, Tissues and Patients" were to:

• Strengthen capacity and add expertise relevant to a significant health problem or issue;
• Develop strategies for knowledge translation and exchange;
• Provide a superior training and mentoring environment;
• Achieve research excellence so that at the end of the limited funding period they are competitive for funding through other major competitions.

Funding Competition Summary

A total of 73 letters of intent were received of which 27 were approved and invited to submit full applications.
