CIHR is pleased to announce further research grants offered through the HIV/AIDS Research Initiative (under the Federal Initiative to Address HIV/AIDS in Canada and the Canadian HIV Vaccine Initiative) for the Operating Grant: Fall 2008 Priority Announcement – HIV/AIDS competition.

Funding Opportunity Summary

The purpose of this Priority Announcement was to strengthen HIV/AIDS research by increasing the opportunities for funding meritorious HIV/AIDS research projects in priority areas within the open grants competition.

A total of 22 applications were received of which 7 were approved for funding through this competition and 4 others were approved in the September 2009 competition of the "Operating Grant: 2008-2009" funding opportunity.

200809HHP: HIV/AIDS Research Initiative Operating Grant -Hlth Svs/Population Hlth Stream

A total of 10 applications were received of which none were approved for funding through this competition and three were approved in the September 2009 competition of the "Operating Grant: 2008-2009" funding opportunity.

200809HVI - Canadian HIV Vaccine Research Initiative Operating Grant - Priority Announcement:

A total of 7 applications were received of which 2 were approved for funding through this competition and 3 others were approved under the September 2009 competition of the "Operating Grant: 2008-2009" funding opportunity.
