Results of the Catalyst Grant: Biology of Manual Therapies

CIHR's Institute of Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA) is pleased to announce the results of the 'Catalyst Grant: Biology of Manual Therapies' competition, in partnership with the National Institutes of Health (NIH)

This funding supports research in basic, mechanistic, and/or preclinical research focused on the mechanisms underlying the biomechanical, immunological, endocrinological and/or neurophysiological consequences of manual therapies, such as spinal manipulation, mobilization and massage therapy. The goals of this research are to advance the understanding of biological systems, to improve the control of disease, and to enhance health.

A total of three proposals with Canadian content were submitted. One of these grants has been approved for funding.
