Canada-Finland Joint Research Program in Public Health Challenges
The CIHR's Institutes of Gender and Health (IGH), Human Development, Child and Youth Health (IHDCYH), Circulatory and Respiratory Health (ICRH), Nutrition, Metabolism and Diabetes (INMD), Neurosciences, Mental Health and Addiction (INMHA), and Aging (IA), are pleased to announce, in partnership with the Academy of Finland (AF), the results for the Research Program (Addressing Public Health Challenges, SALVE) competition.
The purpose of this initiative is to provide applicable knowledge to the current and future key public health issues as identified by the participating parties. A particular aim is to fund extensive, multidisciplinary consortium projects within the program as well as to bring together approaches applied by public health research as well as behavioural sciences, social sciences and biosciences.
A total of six applications were received with Canadian researchers, of which two were approved for funding.
Partner contributions indicated are the estimations to date. Amounts will be updated upon partner confirmation.
