Results of the "Knowledge to Action (KTA)" September 2008 Competition

CIHR's Knowledge Translation (KT) Portfolio is pleased to announce the results of the Knowledge to Action September 2008 Competition.

The general objective of this funding opportunity is to facilitate and accelerate the translation of knowledge to improve the health of Canadians, provide more effective health services and products and strengthen the healthcare system.

The specific objectives of the Knowledge to Action (KTA) grants are to:

  • Build and support partnerships between researchers and knowledge users ; support the development of links between research and practice, and facilitate communication and collaboration among the health research, policy and practice communities
  • Facilitate the uptake/application of research
  • Help to establish and strengthen common ground between the interests and expertise of the research community and the interests and expertise of the knowledge user community.
  • Support the development, implementation and evaluation of novel KT research and KT approaches
