IHDCYH Travel Awards for Students and Post-Doctoral Fellows
Through the Institute Community Support (ICS) Program, CIHR-IHDCYH is launching the ICS Travel Awards competition for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to present their own research at annual, or other regular interval meetings including international conferences related to the Institute's research priorities. The maximum amount for a single award is $1,000 to partially cover costs of travel, accommodation, per diem for meals, and conference registration fees.
In each training category (graduate students and postdoctoral fellows), priority will be given, in the order shown, to:
- Applicants who have never received an IHDCYH Travel Award in the past
- Applicants nearing completion of their training program. Please indicate the year of study (i.e. PhD3, etc.) in the form to be completed as part of Task 5 on ResearchNet.
- Applicants presenting their results for the first time. In this regard, please include in your curriculum vitae the list of past presentations and publications (including author names, titles, name of journal or conference, and type of presentation - oral or poster).
Since August 2011, the Travel Awards program is administered through ResearchNet and more details (e.g. application deadline, application instructions, ...) are available on CIHR Funding Opportunities Database under "Other: Travel Awards - Institute Community Support".
